A routine skydiving jump turned into a life-threatening ordeal after a skydiver became suspended thousands of metres in the air when their parachute became entangled with the tail of the aircraft they had just exited.

The incident occurred shortly after the jump aircraft reached an altitude of approximately 4,500 metres (about 15,000 feet). As the skydiver exited the plane, the parachute unexpectedly deployed early and caught on the aircraft’s tail section, leaving the jumper dangling outside the moving plane.

Witnesses described a tense and terrifying scene as the aircraft continued flying with the skydiver still attached. Emergency procedures were immediately initiated, and the pilot worked to maintain control of the aircraft while coordinating a rescue.

After several harrowing minutes, the skydiver was successfully freed and brought to safety. No fatalities were reported, though the individual was later assessed by medical personnel as a precaution.

Aviation and skydiving safety experts say incidents of this nature are extremely rare, emphasizing that strict equipment checks and exit procedures are designed to prevent premature parachute deployment. An investigation has been launched to determine exactly how the malfunction occurred.

The dramatic incident has since drawn widespread attention online, serving as a stark reminder of the risks involved in extreme sports—even when conducted under regulated conditions.
