Leading aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District 2027 seat and current Board Chairman of the Osun State Water Corporation, Hon. Samuel Oyedotun (popularly known as Sam Oyus De Champion), has called on the people of Osun East and the entire state to continue giving their unwavering support to the administration of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, beyond 2026. He described the current government as the best to ever govern Osun State.
Hon. Oyedotun noted that the Adeleke’s led administration has achieved remarkable progress in key sectors such as health, education, infrastructure development, potable water supply, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and workers’ welfare. He emphasized that these achievements can only be sustained and expanded through continuity under Governor Adeleke, whose leadership has brought renewed hope and purposeful governance to the state.
Dismissing the antics of the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Oyedotun urged the people of Osun to ignore the falsehoods and propaganda being spread by “a frustrated and rejected party.” He encouraged citizens to remain steadfast in their support for the Imole administration and its ongoing transformation agenda across the state.
He stated that under Governor Adeleke, Osun has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural renewal, particularly in road construction, school rehabilitation, healthcare delivery, and digital economy development. “For the first time in our state’s history, every zone has a sense of belonging through equitable distribution of developmental projects,” he remarked.
Sam Oyus also highlighted the governor’s investment in human capital development, noting that the empowerment of artisans, traders, and youth through various state programs has strengthened local economies and reduced unemployment. He added that the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability has restored public confidence in government institutions.
The senatorial hopeful further assured the people of Osun East that his own aspiration is rooted in service and continuity, pledging to complement the Governor’s vision with effective legislative representation that will attract more federal presence to the district. “Our collective progress depends on unity and sustained support for good governance,” he said.
Hon. Oyedotun called on community leaders, political stakeholders, and the electorate to remain focused on the shared goal of building a prosperous Osun State, free from the politics of division and deceit. “We must not allow distractions from those who once plunged our state into debt and backwardness. Governor Adeleke has restored dignity and direction, and it is our collective duty to keep this light shining,” he concluded.
