Bandits have abducted a serving councillor in Southern Kaduna, Hon. David Ali Gwantu. Gwantu, who represents Gwantu Ward in Sanga Local Government Area, was taken from his residence in Gwantu town in the early hours of Friday, September 5, 2025. Reports indicate the attackers stormed his home shortly after midnight and whisked him away in the presence of his family. This abduction comes amid renewed violence in Southern Kaduna.
