The main responsibilities for this role include:
– Model and support a learner-centered, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.
– Ensure that students reach the expected age-related outcomes for Mathematics.
– Gain an understanding of working with Arab youth who will study Mathematics in English.
– Create a positive, active, language-rich learning environment.
– Support the learning process by identifying needs and guiding students to achieve their learning objectives.
– Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner.
– Maintain an accurate record of student achievement and performance.
– Create positive and effective relationships with colleagues.
Skills
Requirements for Expatriates:
3+ years of full-time teaching experience in schools for expats
2+ years full- time teaching experience in schools if the candidate possesses one of the following: MOE teaching License, B.Ed; M.Ed; NTS;PGCE (QTS not required); PGDE; H.D.E; H.E.D; DELTA (Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training); CELTA (Masters level only); TESOL (Masters level only)
– A bachelor’s degree within a relevant field: Bachelor of science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Education in Mathematics – minimum of 3-year degree
– English Level: Excellent level of English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 General/ 6 Academic/ EMSAT 1400 to be provided within six months from joining MOE).
Requirements for Emirati Nationals:
– No previous teaching experience required.
– A bachelor’s degree within a relevant field: Bachelor of science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Education in Mathematics – minimum of 3-year degree.
– Average: minimum GPA of 2.5 for Emirati candidates.
– English Level: Excellent level of English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 General/ 6 Academic/ EMSAT 1400 to be provided within six months from joining MOE).
