In an unprecedented twist, Thelma Lawson and Bright ‘Morgan’ Mbata were evicted from Big Brother Naija Season 10 immediately after the Saturday night party, leaving housemates and fans stunned.

This marks the first time this season that eviction occurred on a Saturday.

Viewers had expected the regular Sunday live show, making the announcement even more dramatic.

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu entered the house in person, drawing excitement and thrilling contestants before dropping the bombshell eviction news.

He also added, “More evictions are coming tomorrow. A lot can be lost in two weeks.”

The eviction particularly surprised housemates, who initially doubted and suspected another fake eviction similar to that staged for Rooboy, Dede, and Joanna last week.

However, this sudden eviction shifted the rhythm, intensifying tension ahead of the next live show.

The voting system traditionally closes every Thursday night, with results collated before Sunday.

Thelma and Bright’s exit reduces the competing housemates to 15, down from the opening 29, as the ₦150 million prize grows closer than ever.

Evicted Duo

Thelma, a 26-year-old skincare consultant from Rivers State, earlier described herself as bold, confrontational, and ready for fun.

According to her, her intention entering the house was to seek money and business visibility.

The outspoken single mother had a loud voice that often sparked series of heated clashes, yet she remained a force in the house.

The one-time Head of House (HOH) also shared moments of entanglement with American football player, Kayode ‘Kaybobo’ Oladele.

Bright, 27, is a Nollywood actor who described himself as “handsome with brains.”

He entered the house ready for drama and competition but showed little of that amongst other contestants.

Known for his striking looks and charisma, the Imo-born built a close on-screen relationship with entrepreneur Ayomide “Mide” Iwasokun, making his eviction a shock to fans.

Previous Evictions

The eviction trial began with Danboskid and Ibifubara, who were the first to be evicted from the BBN house on 10 August.
Sabrina exited the show voluntarily on medical grounds a day later, on August 11.

Subsequent evictions included Otega and Kayikunmi on August 17. Followed by Victory alongside Gigi Jasmine on August 24.

Big Soso, Ivatar, and Doris left the house in a triple eviction on September 7.

Dede, Joanna, and Rooboy re-emerged after the ‘red telephone call’ fake eviction twist last week.

While Denari and Tracy left the reality show on September 14.

With Thelma and Bright’s shocking exit, only 15 housemates remain in the race, and competition for the ₦150 million grand prize grows fiercer.
